This session is living proof of what a small world this is. Rachel contacted me about setting up an adventure session for her and Jake while I was in Colorado last July. I didn't recognize her name, but had the passing thought that she looked vaguely familiar. Once we met up for the session and met in person, Rachel said, "I don't know if you remember me, but..." And it all clicked! Turns out she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I shot back in Oklahoma, and now there we were in Idaho Springs, Colorado shooting a session in the mountains. Life is so weird and fun.

I don't even have to tell you how much fun these two have together because I think it's pretty obvious. They kept each other (and me) laughing the whole time, and I barely had to direct them at all. Pair their cuteness against that stunning Colorado backdrop, and it was a perfect session. And then as we were finishing up, Rachel said, "Hey, would it be cool if we went and actually stood in the lake?" UM YES HELLO BLESS YOU. I am crazy about clients who take an adventure session to the next level.

I'm so, so thankful I crossed paths with Rachel again, and so glad she and Jake gave me the privilege of capturing their love in such a gorgeous place. Even when that meant hiking in a dress and standing in freezing water (such champs, am I right??). Here's to them!
