When Mariah + Dakota first reached out to me about photographing their wedding, Mariah explained that even though they were having a more traditional wedding at their home church in Edmond, Oklahoma, she also really really wanted a wedding photo session in the mountains afterward. Hi yes hello let’s do this.
Over the past year, I've had the privilege of watching my best friend fall in love with someone who is so incredibly perfect for her. To see how Blake loves Emily so sweetly and openly is an overwhelming joy. And in a mere sixteen days, I get to stand by her side and cry and celebrate as they say "I do" for life and begin their adventure together.
Anna + Ben chose to have their destination engagement session at White Sands National Monument in New Mexico because it was one of the first places they visited together after they started dating. I absolutely love it when couples pick locations for their session that mean something special to them! These two have been together for four years and are getting ready to say "I do" for life. It was such an honor getting to document their passionate, adventurous love in such a beautiful place.
This is some of the magic we created during the workshop. Gina + Michael were our models, and can we just talk about how stunning they are?! Marriage and love sure look good on them. I will never get over this place, those desert colors, and its sunsets, man. They took my breath away every single time.
Ericka + Stephen are two of those people I knew I wanted to work with even before I met them. From the first few emails with Ericka, I was totally on board with their vision for their wedding and engagement photos. When we met up at a local coffee shop, my suspicions were confirmed: they are, in fact, two delightful people.
Rather than a traditional wedding, Taylor + Preston wanted to say I do in an intimate ceremony in the mountains at sunset. So off we headed to the gorgeous Wichita Mountains in southwestern Oklahoma. To our dismay, it rained the whole time we were driving. But as soon as we pulled in, the rain disappeared and all was well! Their two beloved dogs stood in as their wedding party, and Taylor wore her grandmother's treasured necklace.
